What Banga is

We build the trip with you. We don't sell you a finished one.

Fifteen years guiding. Small groups: seven as a rule, three on the day trip, so the trip moves around you instead of the other way round. If you're coming as a private group, we adjust it with you. Bike, foot or water: whatever the ground asks for and whatever you want to do.

Ways in

Who are you coming with?

On your own

1 or 2 people

The guide is yours. The pace is yours. If you want to stop at a lookout for two hours, we stop.

With your people

2 to 7

You gather your people and we build the trip with you, on dates that work for you.

With new people

7 maximum

You join a date that's already open. Small group, nobody there who doesn't want to be.

The grades on each trip are real. If you don't fit the one you want, we'll tell you. We'd rather lose a sale than ruin your trip.

Where Banga comes from

bhaṅga-ñāṇa

pali · dissolution

You forget you have a body.

It doesn't happen often and it doesn't last, sometimes three seconds. You stop thinking about your hands, your gear, what comes next. You're not enjoying the moment: you're inside it.

It isn't a new word: the Pali Buddhist texts were already using it. That's where Banga comes from.

We can't promise it to you, and anyone who promises it is having you on. But it's what we're going for every time we ride out.
